VC Tours INHURD

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kolawole Salako has paid a maiden visit to the Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD), The purpose of the visit was to ascertain first-hand, the state of affairs at the Institute and to encourage the students to study hard in order to be able to gain admission into the University.
   

Addressing the students at the Lecture Theatre A of the Institute, the Vice-Chancellor stated it was not how much money one spent on education that matters but the level of commitment.
   

The Vice-Chancellor said that he wanted a 100 per cent admission for all the students present. He, therefore, charged them to concentrate on their work.
   

Professor Salako who assured the students of their personal security and safety, stressed that “We are 100 per cent ready to protect you. You are under our care because INHURD is our own. He admonished them to be law abiding observing the rules and regulations of the University. He made reference to Professor Lateef Sanni, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Development-Designate as a shining example of the product of the Pre-Degree Programme.
   

The Vice-Chancellor stated that he would be working with other Management staff to see to the increase in student population, while enhancing the quality of teaching, so that it could arouse the interest of prospective students.
   

Responding, the Director, INHURD, Professor Francis Sowemimo thanked the Vice-Chancellor for the visit inspite of his tight schedules, imploring the students to take to his advise.
   

Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor with Principal Officers and top members of staff visited the INHURD Administrative Building, Clinic, Library, Female hostel, the FUNAAB Conservices Limited (FUCONS) and Community-Based Farming Scheme (COBFAS).
