The incoming Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olusola Bandele Oyewole, has assured members of the University community that he will not perform below expectations, on assumption of duty.
Professor Oyewole gave the assurance while responding to the remarks by the officers of National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), during a light Send-forth Party, held in honour of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun.
A National Officer of NAAT, Mr. J. O. Amira, had set the ball rolling while articulating the intervention of Prof. Balogun in meeting the demands of the Association.
Apparently impressed by the presentation, Prof. Oyewole said: “I have made a commitment never to go below what Professor Balogun had done”.
“Your presentation was beautiful. I’m so happy. I want the details of your presentation. Please don’t summarize it. I mean details of your presentation. I want to complete it and ensure that nothing he (Professor Balogun) did will be reversed”, he stated.
Describing Prof. Oyewole as a round peg in a round hole, Mr. Amira said, “Professor Oyewole is a quality-assurance man. The quality you (Prof. Balogun) are leaving us with will not diminish us.”

You need to sit and settle down quickly Mr VC and do be distracted by all those side comments. Years to come, i hope prosperity will judge.

This citedel of learning MUST not drop in standard and discipline, kick those that need to be kicked to achieve better than your predecessor.
