Professor Flora Tobolayefa Oluwafemi hails from Oporoza in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West L.G.A. of Delta State. She is the daughter of Late Chief & Mrs Stephen Oro-Ubebe. She is first and only Professor from Gbaramatu. Professor Flora Tobolayefa Oluwafemi is the Pioneer Deputy Vice-Chancellor-Academic, Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Warri South West and the immediate Past Head of Microbiology Department, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. Professor Flora is a graduate of the Galilee International Management Institute & Founding Vice-President of the Nigerian Mycotoxin Study Group. She was an invited Discussion leader in the 2017 Gordon Research Conference on Mycotoxins and Phycotoxins in Boston-Easton, USA & a speaker at African Union under the Partnership for Aflatoxin Control, Addis Ababa, 2016. She was recognized as Google Scholar in 2015 which was advertised in three Nigerian Dailies. Other Scholarships include: Shell Scholarship from 1975 – 79; German Academic Exchange (DAAD) Scholarship in 1991 & 2008; Mashav Israeli Scholarship in 2004, International Fund Agricultural Research in 2006; EU Scholarship on Mycotoxin Training in 2006; International Committee for Food Microbiology & Hygiene Scholarship in 2006; Nature Publishing Group Grant in 2015; Gordon Research Conference Scholarship in 2017. She reviews for many International Journals. Published in several journals and widely travelled. Her new area of interest is investigating phycotoxins in Nigerian coastal waters and multi-mycotoxin exposures of human beings.
