|NASU Chairman Mr. Ibukun Fadairo||The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwafemi Olaiya Balogun has approved the purchase of four Standing Fans for use at the Non Academic Staff Union (NASU) Car Wash, with a promise to sink a borehole for the Centre.
The Vice-Chancellor gave the approval during the official commissioning of the Centre, christened NASUWEL Car Wash, recently.
In his address at the commissioning, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University’s Governing Council, Chief Lawrence Osayemi, commended the Executive of NASU, led by Mr. Ibukun Fadairo, for the laudable project, which he said will go a long way in ensuring cleanliness and healthy living of staff and students.
Chief Osayemi equally assured NASU of Governing Council’s continued support and assistance.
The Branch Chairman of NASU, Mr. Fadairo, said the Car Wash scheme was part of the Union’s welfare scheme, founded to render retirement support for members.
The NASU Chairman assured University Management of the Union’s continued support and cooperation, with a pledge to always strive for peace on campus, as a catalyst for accelerated development.
At the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor was honoured as the Most Labour-Friendly Vice-Chancellor, of all time.
