The University’s Leo Club has donated twelve waste bins to the institution.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the University, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Professor Segun Lagoke commended the initiative of members of the club, for coming up with the idea which he said would help the University in maintaining a clean environment.
The Vice-Chancellor seized the opportunity to remind students of the University that Management will not be lenient with those in the habit of dropping wastes on the ground.
“As the leaders of tomorrow, you must imbibe the spirit of having Green and Clean Environment”, he said.
The President of the Club, Leo Oloruntele Fadun, expressed appreciation to the University Management for its supports.
He said the Club made the donation to complement the efforts of the Management towards having a healthy environment.
Present at the ceremony were the Acting Registrar, Mr. ‘Leke Adeboye; Administrator, Environmental Management Unit, Mr. Emmanuel Bankole and the Assistant Chief Environmental Officer of the University, Mr. Peter Bolarinwa.
