after being conferred as a Fellow of the Institute.
The University’s Acting Bursar, Mr. Moses Ilesanmi, now proudly wears the insignia of FCA, as he has been bestowed with the Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
At the occasion, held at the ICAN Centre, Lagos, where 604 distinguished members were conferred with the prestigious Fellowship status, Mr. Ilesanmi said, “this is the highest one can go in the distinguished Accountancy profession”, vowing to uphold the watchwords of the Institute, in Integrity and Accuracy, in all his professional conducts.
Speaking with UNAAB Bulletin, Mr. Ilesanmi said, becoming a fellow of ICAN required a lot of hardwork and sacrifice, describing the honour as a lifetime achievement to which, he expressed gratitude to God and admonished upcoming professionals to be steadfast.
Speaking at the event, the Special Guest of Honour, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, charged the awardees to live up to their new billing by working towards greater strides in their different areas of assignment.
Prince Adeluyi enjoined them to give objective advice, commendable resource management and promote the goodwill of the profession, as its ambassadors.
Also speaking at the event, the ICAN President, Major-General Sebastian Achulike Owuama (Rtd.), congratulated the new Fellows for having been found competent, worthy and excellent in their fields of specialization, and for upholding the ethics and conducts of the Accountancy profession.
