  • Best Paper Award, Animal Science Students’ Category “The influence of fresh azolla on the growth performance of broilers”. 7th Annual Regional Agricultural Research Symposium held at Central Philippine University, Jaro, Iloilo City, Philippines, March 13-14, 1986.
  • Best Paper Award, Large Ruminant Category “Ovarian responses and pregnancy rate of Carabao treated with PGF2 alpha followed by GnRH and AI at one pre-determined time”. 25th Annual Scientific Convention of the Philippine Society of Animal Science. Held at South-East Asian Regional Council for Agriculture (SEARCA), Philippines.
  • 2010 Research Project Award from Institute of Food Security, Environmental Resources and Agricultural Research (IFSERAR), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria to a tune of N356,475 on the project, “Non-surgical embryo transfer in Muturu cows” for a year.
  • University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Award to the Department of Animal Physiology. As Acting Head of Department of Animal Physiology in 2010 and collectively with other members of staff of the Department clinched the FIRST position in a University WEBOMETRIC Ranking Competition among other 40 Departments of the University.
  • 2010 Innovators of Tomorrow Grant by Science and Technology Education Post-Basic Project (STEP-B) under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja and World Bank for my postgraduate student Mr. Ogunsola A. A. (M.Agric). This is to a tune of N500,000. This is on the study: In vitro maturation of bovine granulosa cells using IGFII and gonadotropins for steroid hormone production.
  • 2012 research grant award from Grant Management Office, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta awarded to Dr. O.F. Smith, Prof. O.A. Osinowo, Prof. Oladele Gazal, Mr. A.A. Philip and Mr. A. Asoro with tag sum of N1.42Million for the research titled: Determination of endocrine correlates of coat colour-induced effects on reproduction and their responsiveness to different doses of gonadotropin releasing hormone in West African Dwarf (WAD) goats – FUNAAB Directorate of Grant Management Award – 01-2012.
  • Provincial Pastor’s Competition of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ogun Province 6. Placed 5th in the Senior Pastors Table Tennis event. 26th June, 2013 at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Sports Pavillion
