At the event organised at the Health Centre, the Director, Health Services, Dr. Olusola Talabi described the out-going Vice-Chancellor as a goal-getter, dynamic and courageous personality.
“I stand before God and man to say Prof. Balogun has done well and has left an indelible mark on the sand of time. He is transparent, hardworking and a trustworthy person”, he noted.
He chronicled a catalogue of achievements witnessed during Prof. Balogun’s administration in the health sector, to include the renovation of the University Health, procurement of a brand new ambulance, steady water supply and the creation of three additional consulting and emergency rooms.
Responding to the gesture, the out-going Vice-Chancellor described the day as memorable, with a prayer for an unquantifiable honour from God, for the staff, having specially planned to honour him, adorning brightly coloured ceremonial apparels.
Referring to the colour of the apparels, Professor Balogun said, “Purple represents royalty and as you have honoured me, honour will never depart you”.
“I will continue to remember this day for good and my life history will not be complete without remembering this day”, he noted.
