We have been impacted is the consensus of members of staff who participated in the just concluded three months (3-months) Bioinformatics (IBT) Class, organised by the University in conjunction with the Human Heredity and Health in Africa.
Commenting on the Training, the participants noted that the training has impacted knowledge and amazing experience.
In his Remark, Professor Oluseyi Akinloye who was a participant, remarked that the Training has been a blessing to him and others,.
He expressed gratitude to the University Management, H3ABionet and the FUNAAB Coordinators for the assistance and great opportunity.
Other participants who attended the Closing ceremony also expressed their minds on what they gained after the 3 months course.
According to Oluwatosin Jegede, the Training was “a superb experience that has equipped me with additional methods of solving problems and an avenue for meeting great people”.
While Omotunde Babajide expressed appreciation to FUNAAB for hosting the Training as well as having the best facilities to learn and for meeting their needs
However, he urged the participants and the organizers to keep in touch and share useful information, which in turn will sustain the knowledge gained.
Further feedback was given by Owolabi Olusegun, who admitted that the Training exceeded his expectations and triggered the hunt for knowledge, imploring the organizers to shorten the duration of the Training to accommodates others.
Giving the Closing Remarks, one of the Facilitators, Seyi Babarinde of the Information and Communication Technology Resource Centre (ICTREC) expressed gratitude to participants for their participation and feedback, adding that H3Abionet offers courses in other fields of specialization.
He thanked the participants for seizing the opportunity, urging them to keep practicing and implementing the lessons learnt.
