Founder's Day/Award of Excellence: FUNAAB to Honour Outstanding Students and Staff

No fewer than eleven (11) outstanding students and nine (9) staff will be honoured by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) as the University is set to host the Founder’s Day and Award of Excellence for the year 2019.

The award which is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 27 March is the University’s tradition of encouraging and rewarding excellence among staff and students.

Starting at 2:00pm, the Award is divided into students and staff categories.  Under the former are; Outstanding Undergraduate Students; Outstanding Sport Student; Outstanding Physically Challenged Student; Outstanding FUNIS Student and Outstanding FUNAAB Staff School Pupil.

Under the Staff Award are Productivity Award, which is categorized into Research Productivity Award (Senior Academic Staff Category); Research Productivity Award (Junior Academic Staff Category); Productivity Performance Award (Senior Non-Teaching Staff Category) and Productivity Performance Award (Junior Non-Teaching Staff Category).

Other Categories under the Staff Award include, Most Punctual and Regular Staff of 2018 Award (Senior Non-Teaching Staff) and Most Punctual and Regular Staff of 2018 Award (Junior Non-Teaching Staff).

It also has the Most Deserving Long Service Award Category in the Academic, Senior Non-Teaching and Junior Non-Teaching Categories.

Early in the same day, one of the foremost dons in the University, Professor (Mrs.) Olufunmilayo Adebambo will deliver her Valedictory Lecture, to mark her retirement from the University after a meritorious service over the years.

 Staff and Students are welcome to the sprawling and conducive ambience of the University Ceremonial Building, ready to host the day with a promise of good memories.
