COURSE SYNOPSIS:

Introduction, Definitions and concept, Basic concepts of animal structure. Body systems, Digestive, respiratory, reproductive, circulatory, urinary, endocrine etc, intergument. Bones, connective tissues (muscle) & fats. Muscle identification & development; early development of muscles and post-natal growth of muscles. Growth of the whole animal: Pre-natal growth, measurement of growth, growth curves. Allometry. Hormonal regulation of animal growth.
