COURSE SYNOPSIS
In depth exploration of the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of the child from infancy to middle childhood. Special attention will be devoted to the development needs of the young child and the implications of such needs for the development of age appropriate materials and for the design of community and school based programmes. Students will be expected to actualize theories by practical with young children. The first semester will focus on infants and one and two-year olds. The second semester will deal with three and four years old.
